Finances

  • Big financial report with the Morrison grant coming in, and us paying for youth festival associated stuff.
  • Motioned and received

Grant Writer

  • Got a check from Boise Arts and History for next year. $5k.
  • Looking at getting an ad in the Magazine for Idaho Music Educators Association.
  • We’ve got an AIC grant for Youth Festival that covers the quartet and music for the kids!
  • Youth Festival team is putting a concentrated effort into just doing Highschools next year for three days.
  • We might be hosting District 2026! Zoom calls are in progress with the district.
    • Dennis is looking into doing Morrison center.

Marketing

  • Christmas marketing is well under way. Facebook, YouTube.
  • We’ll be doing a little competition for ticket selling!
    • Want $200 for first prize, $100 for second prize, $50 for third place for the member that sells the most tickets to people.
    • Motioned and passed for the $350.
    • Each person will get their own unique QR code that tracks ticket sales.
    • Hopefully this will be worth our money. If not, we’ll get lots of data on how to effectively market 🙂
    • So… no flyers like usual for guys to hand out.
  • Ticket sales for the show: $20 per adult, $10 per student/senior/military, under 6yo free. Motioned and passed.
    • We’d also like to give 25 tickets to vet tix for them to distribute for us. Motioned and passed.
    • Original motion was just student $10 pricing, it was amended to include seniors and military.
    • Motioned and passed: Donate tickets to the employees of Cloverdale.

    • We’ll reach out to Star Harmony for help on Wednesday. They have a gig on Tuesday and cannot help. – Aaron
  • Show clearance has been confirmed via email and mailed.
  • They’re looking into doing a member competition for Valentines as well. Might also have a discount for Christmas concert attendees to purchase Valentines.

Music

  • We’ve got the Letters to Santa show happening.
  • Zach is doing two more arrangements for contest next year. Hopefully we’ll have it around for January…
  • Starting before our next show, we’ll have a quartet audition process as well.

Communications

  • Kimball is extremely busy for Christmas and Valentines… So don’t give him any more action items.

Membership

  • Installation banquet! Aaron will coordinate with Shad and Terry to find a spot.
  • Cliff is a full member now, and we’ve got a potential with Del.
  • Start of the year we’ll pick back up the member spotlights. It’s a little busy at the moment…

Old Business

  • Morningstar performance: we’re gonna ask for $300. It’s not set in stone yet for Dec16, but if they agree to that pricing then we’ll go for it.
  • Next meeting we will discuss budget. Bring in your line items for the year!
  • We will invite new board members to the December meeting.
  • The Big Leap for reinvigorating the chorus:
    • We’re good budget-wise (per Zach Haynes’s recommendation) to send four people
    • Motioned and accepted to send four guys! Names pending on those people. Be thinking about who.
  • Lemon Squeezy was being entertained to come here, but Steve chatted with Rich + Kaylynn and think it’s best not to invite them.

New Business

  • Nuthin!
