We've been going to Barbershop performances for years. That entrance was spectacular! The ladies had a lovely, traditional performance, made more heart-touching because of the retirement of their director. The men looked uncomfortable in their suits, but it was one of the best prepared concerts we have heard. My husband and I both agree that we missed the comedy and cutting-up and just plain JOY that usually pervades the men's performances.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show but is definitely a missing element - humor. There used to be much more humor in the Chordsmen Concerts. I realize the seriousness in the reason for the season, but today’s world is already depressing enough. Bring back the humor!!!

A friend is in the women's group and I was so glad she told me about it and I was able to go. I really love harmonies. Also the treats were delicious.
Such an enjoyable evening! So enjoyed both groups but the men’s voices at the beginning was goosebump worthy!
Overall this was a fun show! Both choruses had a handful of good moments. The opening combined number was impactful. Also, the Chordsmen know how to have fun and they always have. The holly and the ivy was lively and made a big difference on stage presence. Thanks to both choruses for preparing. When people pay money for tickets, they want to feel good and see that the groups adequately prepared to be able to perform. Thank you for doing that. Merry Christmas!

Love barbershop harmony and both choruses sang well, but I was intrigued that so many numbers were more “chorus” arrangements and many songs lacked true traditional “barbershop” harmony. Is the society moving away from the preservation of barbershop harmony and encouraging more choral style arrangements?
A joy to hear and watch!! Both the Ladies and Gentlemen performed flawlessly....we will definitely attend future events!!! Bravo!!
