Who Are The Boise Chordsmen?

Founded in 1949, the Boise Chordsmen are Idaho’s premier all-male barbershop chorus and the state’s only ensemble of its kind. As an auditioned chorus, the Chordsmen are committed to vocal excellence, fraternity, and engaging performances. They proudly represent the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Evergreen District and were honored as District Chorus Champions in 2019. In recognition of their artistic and educational contributions, the Boise Chordsmen received the City of Boise’s prestigious Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Arts and History in 2023. With a legacy spanning over seven decades, the Chordsmen continue to inspire audiences through the unique art form of barbershop harmony.
