The Chordsmen were on stage at our last International Competition in Salt Like City and have earned a spot to compete at our next competition. Our big song for the show was “The Boise Song”. The artist Jewel was in Boise a few years ago and, as she does when she travels in concert, made up a song about the local city, Boise in this case. We got the rights from her to use the song and arranged it in barbershop along with some new verses, etc. Check out that performance below!
Chordsmen rehearsals are every Tuesday evening starting at 7:00pm. We have been given use of the Cloverdale Church of God at 3755 S. Cloverdale, 83709. We invite men who have an interest in singing to come and check us out. No, you don’t need to know how to read music and yes, we will furnish you audio vocal tracks to learn your voice part. Our instructors will help you learn where your voice fits, whether it is tenor, lead, baritone or bass.
The Chordsmen have been featured on our Barbershop Society magazine celebrating the removal of masks for rehearsals and shows.
We get a little wild and crazy sometimes but it makes us sing better.
If you have an interest in enjoying or helping make fantastic barbershop harmonies, come check out the Boise Chordsmen!
